Lights and gimmicks.

I see karaoke as really quite gimmicky, which means I use gimmicks during the show.  My favourite is the camera, and the ability to make people famous either on here or on FaceBook.  Other ‘extras’ include silly videos, group/solo ‘recordings’ and on-screen special effects.

The new lighting software I mentioned on Facebook has arrived.  It is DMX software.  It means I can give you a co-ordinated light show, as well as the usual flashing bits and bobs.

I am still in the process of learning this software package, and buying the lighting fixtures (my poor wallet) and I’ll be rolling it all out later in the year.  This will be aimed at special events such as weddings and corporate events.

Once I get around to it, the lights will include dedicated gobos, scanners, par cans, moving heads, bars and anything else that comes to mind.

Prices for the specialist lighting will start from around £300.  But again, call me for an informal chat, and we’ll see what we can do for you.
