The Good, The Bad and The Downright Ugly

When I went down the road of rebuilding this website, I came across a number of other websites offering services of varying descriptions.  During my attempts to help speed up the rebuild process, I tried out a  couple of these websites, and found out (at some expense) that they weren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

It occurred to me that with my own site, I could fight back somewhat with these people and places.  In the interest of keeping everything balanced, while I will expose certain goings on, I will also be sending huge praise to others who really deserve it.

Today’s topics under the microscope are institutions... big ones.

Specifically, I’m going to look at INSURANCE COMPANIES - this is another of my reviews based on a recent experience with these people.  Read on...

I would imagine if I opened the forum to this (and to be honest, I think I should) there would be loads of horror stories regarding insurance companies.

My reviews are based on my own recent experiences with whichever organisation I happen to be writing about.

In this case the company in my sights is Broadspire (according to my contact at DHL).  It could be Crawford and Company according to the Broadspire web site.  It seems they are a company to whom Broadspire outsource certain elements.

So, let’s set the scene;

I’m driving in single file traffic, and I have to stop at a Pelican crossing.  When I set off, the car behind tries to overtake me and collides with my front end when he doesn’t quite complete his manoeuvre cleanly because of oncoming traffic. My insurance company (Broadspire) decides I’m at fault for not moving out of the way while being overtaken in single file traffic.

I would urge all right minded people to boycott this company if that is how their customers are treated.  It seems, they made up their mind because the third party (and a so-called independent witness) lied.  They claimed there were two lanes and that I moved from the inside one to the outside one colliding with the third party.  I say they are both lying and that the insurance company are too lazy to simply check out the facts.

So, here’s the thing. Check out the pics below and make up your own mind.  Am I wrong, or is the insurance company wrong?
